9 years after Girls’ Generation’s debut in 2007, Tiffany will finally make her solo debut in May!
SONE have been patiently waiting for this news for a few years, especially after hearing some of Tiffany‘s solo debut rumors. And her agency finally tied the rumors off today. On May 4, SM Entertainment revealed the schedule leading to Tiffany’s official solo debut. SNSD’s smiling girl Tiffany will officially return as a solo artist next week. The specific details of the long-awaited album and release date have also been confirmed. Starting later today with the release of teaser images on her official solo website here, she will release all tracks on May 11, six highlight medleys and an official music video of “I Just Wanna Dance”. According to an insider, the title track was chosen based to maximize the synergy between Tiffany’s on-stage performance and the song’s flow.
Tiffany is not the only SM Entertainment artist to hold a solo comeback this year. Others with individual projects in the works include SHINee’s TaeMin and Super Junior’s YeSung. Previously, other members of Girls’ Generation have either had a solo debut or participated in various unit groups as well.
