The full overview and initial starting scores of the 10 PENTAGON trainees under Cube Entertainment!

Cube Entertainment and Mnet has joined forces to produce a new type of survival audition program. The 9 male trainees from Cube will feature on the reality show to showcase their talents and win the hearts of the public. Each member will have to face 5 different challenges: Performance (Singing and Rap), Dance, Teamwork, Talent (Wit and Variety-skills), and Mind (Impression and Attitude). Through the challenges, the final members of Cube’s new boy group, PENTAGON, will be decided. We’ve compiled the latest update and an overview of how the program will be run. Who will debut as the next generation of Cube’s boy group?

The Pentagon Maker

In order to be chosen as a member of PENTAGON, the 10 trainees will have to face judgement and critics from the netizens. Each trainee has already been given initial scores by Cube’s officials in terms of the five categories: Performance (Singing and Rap), Dance, Teamwork, Talent (Wit and Variety-skills), and Mind (Impression and Attitude). With the starting ratings, the trainees will have to raise their score each week through different challenges. Each week, new videos of the boys will be uploaded online for netizens to vote on. In order to debut as a part of PENTAGON, a trainee must fulfill a rating of 5 from each category. Should one fail to achieve a perfect 5×5 score, then they will be disqualified from the final lineup. The finalized group of PENTAGON will debut through a debut concert held on July 16.

Pentagon Score

Cube Entertainment had released a teaser of each member with their initial Pentagon scoring. Each member seems to be varying in different strengths and weaknesses. The highest scorers are Hui and Keyno with ShinWon and YeAn trailing in at 9th and 10th place. We can’t be certain of the finalists with the initial scores, as the boys will certainly grow throughout the show. We’ll just have to see who will prevail, and who will cave under pressure.
